Dingo App is a digital learning tool that develops and enhances children's literacy skills in both; Spanish and English.
We have brought together innovative technology, e-books, games, and locally curated content to advance the learning of children aged 4-10 years who have limited or no access to education and technology.
We were a team of many volunteer people who had accompanied Dingo since this beautiful project's content and creative process.
It's been a gratifying experience to add my skills and expertise to this great initiative and help the Dingo program enable more children in Colombia to gain access to books and early literacy tools.
We implemented a design process: The team established more structure to how we conducted our work and assisted us with the Dingo App's content development. We created wireframes and user flows to communicate interaction and design ideas effectively.
We established a design kit, which has helped maintain consistency in the look and feel across different parts of the platform.
We established a design system, which has helped the Engineering and Product teams understand how and why we choose to implement specific components over others.
High-fidelity screens and prototype
I created high fidelity mockups in Illustrator, Photoshop and Figma.
I conducted usability testing sessions with our primary users to validate whether the new designs would solve their problems. And the end the result has been very successful for the user children between 4 and 10 years old.

Context
DINGO App is a digital learning tool that aims to develop and enhance literacy skills in both; Spanish and English. The children come from a low-income background in Colombia.
Problem Statement
There are children from Colombia that they can't read and write in Spanish and either in English.
Project Deliverables
In this stage, I consider creating a persona, storyboards and also a survey to evaluate how much time take the Children to learn some words in Spanish and English using the "Dingo" app.

Project Constraints
Can we become an excellent learning tool in Colombia?
How might we...
children get more opportunities to study?
children under 6 years have access to education?
children from Colombia improve their English level?
set up the app in the tablet properly
measure the performance of the children?
keep motivate all children during the activity?
children learn at least more than twenty words in Spanish or English every day?

Storyboards
Here you can find three different storyboards:
1. Spanish mentoring
2. He doesn't understand the English menu
3. He got a diploma for his successful performance during the class

Prototypes
With low-fidelity paper prototypes, we could quickly test the Dingo App and the general structure of the application, without much effort, the team could make adjustments before going into the much more costly digital implementation.
Wireframes
I made wireframes, mid- and high-fidelity prototypes, which I supplemented with clickable version, all created in Adobe XD. Again, user tests revealed small pain points in the structure of the user interface, in some formulations and interactions. Besides, the users asked some questions, which led to further improvements.
